First Community Bank of Galena a branch of Apple River State Bank is pleased to announce its plans for a new bank building on the corner of U.S. 20 and Franklin Street in Galena. The two-story building is being designed by the Durrant Group of Dubuque joined by a number of local contractors. We anticipate to be in the new facility the early part of the second quarter next year and are proud to make this commitment to the Galena community. As the bank with the largest deposit base in Jo Daviess County, we felt it was important to provide banking convenience on the west side of Galena where the community is experiencing growth in retail and medical services.
	The 13,000-square-foot building will be a full-service branch location which will include retail space for lease on the second floor. First Community Bank of Galena opened in 1995 and is a branch of Apple River State Bank. Apple River State Bank also has offices in Scales Mound and Warren, and recently opened offices in Elizabeth and Hanover. Apple River State Bank offers a very competitive lineup of loan and deposit products, not to mention trust, investment, and long-term, fixed-rate mortgages. We have also kept pace with technology advances such as online banking, online bill payment, and debit cards.
This is all complemented by a high level of personal service that will continue to be second-to-none with our new Galena office. Apple River State Bank is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. The bank remains a locally owned financial institution with its entire management team and board of directors residing within Jo Daviess County.
