Plants, Plants and More!

Tuesday, May 22 2018

Rain or Shine we will start the morning visiting the Vander Veer Park and Conservatory. This 33 acre park was established in 1885 and is thought to be one of the first botanical gardens west of the Mississippi and modeled after Central Park in New York City. Lunch will be on your own at one of your favorite restaurants. We get behind the scenes access to what it takes to make each of the Isabell Bloom sculptures with time to ask questions, preview new designs and purchase a remembrance of the tour! Our garden adventure continues at the Quad Cities Botanical Center which includes over 100 tropical plants and trees, a 14 foot tall waterfall and reflecting pool with koi and water plants. We wander through the meandering paths of many outdoor gardens enjoying the wonderful scents and breath taking plantings. Before we leave the Quad Cities we will stop at the Wallace Garden Center, where time is allowed to learn about some of the newer plants for the area.

This sweeping romance about the roads we travel, the doors we open and the bridges we dare to cross will leave audiences breathless.
